Hi there!
Hello! My name is Tyler Munoz. I’m a Latino-Filipino filmmaker residing in Southern California. I'm currently looking to work in production for animation!I have years of experience working in production-focused team environments. During my time at California State University Long Beach, I've helped produce multiple students films and projects, and further gained administrative arts experience from my internship at The Arts Council for Long Beach. I currently keep busy with multiple freelance projects, and am currently developing multiple short films. Suffice to say, I've gained quite a bit of momentum and don't plan on stopping!When I’m not animating, you can find me at a local jam band show or playing street hockey.

Latino Film Institute
Directing a 7-minute animated short film as part of Latino Film Institute's Spark Animation Fellowship program, sponsored by Netflix. Planned for release in 2027.
HUGS AND KISSES
Produced a 7-minute animated short film for Visual Communication's Armed With a Camera Filmmaker Fellowship, comprising a team of 30 animators. Currently on its festival run.
#STOPTHEHATE PSA
Directed a 1-minute advertisement for Akara Films and Pacific Asian Counselling Services, as part of their #StopTheHate campaign.
LITTLE GREEN MEN: QUIP'S IN CHARGE
Directed and produced a 9-minute animated short film comedy, leading a team of 10 animators.
arts council for long beach
Interned for The Arts Council For Long Beach, where I facilitated production of various city-wide projects. I performed administrative tasks, led fundraisers, conducted archival research, and kept in contact with the Board of Directors and events and projects were underway.
Dungeon draw: frame and fortune
Produced an art gallery show featuring 20 local artists. Organized and led fundraising, designed gallery space, conducted outreach, and communicated with artists to ensure pieces were completed and submitted on time.
24 Hours Animation Contest
Directed and developed a 30 second short film as part of 2024's 24 Hours Animation Contest, managing a team of 5 artists. placed within the top 30 of 500+ contestants.
CaNine to five
Storyboard Director on a 3-Minute Animated Short film. Ensured storyboards were delivered by the assigned deadline, managing a team of 3 board artists.
Animated film production association
Assisted with 3 short films made by the organization. Assisted with running the organization, including producing films, scheduling workshops, planning fundraising events, developing pitches, and organizing guest speakers.
It's Time to play the music zine
Organized and directed a nonprofit art magazine featuring 60 artists. Organized Sign up sheets, created a production schedules and sssisted in digital distribution of project and handling of funds. We raised over $1500 for the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation!
